Hyprfocal Labs participated in Experimentation: Transforming in Contact (EXTiC) 26-2, held July 27–29, 2026, at the Playas Research and Training Center in Playas, New Mexico. EXTiC 26-2 was hosted by the Defense Innovation OnRamp Hub: Arizona in collaboration with U.S. Central Command and the Defense Innovation Unit.
During the event, Hyprfocal Labs demonstrated 360EAGLE’s core mission: detecting drones with passive optical sensing. Across all three event days, the system detected, tracked, and classified Group 1–2 UAS while distinguishing drones from birds and planes across its various output classes. It operated against drones flown as part of counter-UAS scenarios in extreme desert heat, providing wide-area airspace awareness in an operationally relevant environment.
Hyprfocal Labs integrated 360EAGLE with UNIFY.C2, sending detections to the platform for monitoring in the event common operating picture.
On July 29, the system recorded 131 high-confidence tracks—48 classified as drone, 47 as bird, and 36 as plane. Detections were recorded at estimated ranges up to approximately 1.6 km, including a fiber-optic-guided, RF-silent UAS that was detected, tracked, and PTZ-verified.
Participation in EXTiC 26-2 reflects Hyprfocal Labs’ focus on building practical sensing systems for the operators who need them.
